Most of us were born into a world where "criminals" have always existed.
Police exist, we are taught, to fight crime and get criminals off the street where they cannot hurt people any longer.
But is that really the way things are? What about the high-level criminals who can "pay their way" out of trouble with law enforcement? What if some law enforcement officers are told there are certain crimes that are allowable or that certain crimes are "hands off?"
Who holds the CIA accountable? The FBI? The NSA?
Any number of other groups that use money in amounts most working-class citizens will never see in their lifetimes?
